Who We Are

Imagine It Wood is a family operated business located in Livermore, Colorado. At our website you will find handcrafted rustic lighting and other decor accessories for your home or cabin. We take great pride in our work, and our customer's satisfaction is of the utmost importance to us.

We work mainly with aspen and pine.
We start with standing dead or naturally fallen timber.
Each piece is hand selected, hand peeled and hand sanded.

Cracks, knots, wormholes and color variations in the wood add to the character and  uniqueness of each piece and are not considered defects or blemishes.

Our finishing technique's consist of:  Top sealing each piece with a satin polycrylic or polyurethane finish, each piece is hand sanded and then hand rubbed with an orange beeswax for a beautiful (not too glossy) finish. On certain items, I use a boiled linseed oil and then lacquer over it, this provides a beautiful rich appearance.

To keep the rich appearance of the finish:  You will periodically need to freshen  the wood with a coat of oil (lemon oil or orange oil works well), as this will help to maintain the beautiful finish. We use a product called - "Howard Feed N Wax" on all of our handcrafted creations, it's Beeswax and Orange Oil - A penetrating feeder and preservative for all furniture finishes and natural woods.

Important Note:  If you live in or near Fort Collins, Colorado, we can deliver your merchandise to you free of charge and save you the shipping fees.  We are normally in Fort Collins at least once a week, and can set up a place to meet, and deliver your products to you.
